This Blog has been created by friends and family of Alex and Dane as they make their way down the road to recovery, after being struck by lightning 10/5/2010. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as this road will likely be a long one. Feel free to check back often for status updates on both Alex and Dane, and be sure and leave your well-wishes when you visit. The boys will be shown this blog when they are awake.

Thursday December 23rd

If you live in UT, watch KSL tonight at 10:00pm.  A story will be aired about the nerve machine Alex has been receiving treatments with.  If you don't live in UT, it will probably be posted on their website after the News at 10.  www.KSL.com

    Alex has been in a great deal of pain, caused by nerve damage! It is extremely hard for the Doctors to deal with the pain management aspect because it (the pain)does not present itself like many other forms of injury that they deal with. They can't see it, nor can they, with any degree of certainty, tell why it has occurred! Most lightning strike victims just don't survive long enough to let Doctors discover what a billion volts of electricity does to the human body! The only relief Alex has gotten is from the "Pain Machine" from Dr. Chalmers Sperotherapy.com it has helped him with some lesser medications, keep his pain under control! Thank you guy's for it! Remember to let anyone you know, who is dealing with chronic pain, to go try this. It is WAY WORTH IT!!!

    I am going to call them and try the machine, it can't hurt. I really can't wait to see if it will help me too! I've been going to the Dr. for pain management for 10 years and my pain is just getting worse! Thanks for the info!!!
