Welcome friends and family of Alex and Dane!

This Blog has been created by friends and family of Alex and Dane as they make their way down the road to recovery, after being struck by lightning 10/5/2010. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as this road will likely be a long one. Feel free to check back often for status updates on both Alex and Dane, and be sure and leave your well-wishes when you visit. The boys will be shown this blog when they are awake.

We sincerely Thank You for your concern and friendship. Alex and Dane will always remember the support of friends and family like you.

Update from Dane's Dad. He's out!!!!!!!!!

I'm very excited to relay to everyone who is keeping up with this situation that Dane was released from the hospital this afternoon. We are staying in Vegas tonight and we will be returning to St George tomorrow. We left the hospital without reporting it to the media in order to have a little privacy. Dane is doing well, he's just very weak and a bit shaky. He needs to recoup for a while. Dane is mostly worried about Alex and didn't want to leave without him.

  1. Thrilled you are home, and it it so amazing to see Dane doing so well. My son is on the debate team also. Last night he says "guess what I am doing?" He said he was talking to Dane. They were on facebook. The smile I saw on his face, showed such happiness that his friend was out of the hospital. A week ago, everything as we know it, had fallen apart. A true miracle. It will be complete when Alex is back home too.

  2. Welcome home Dane. Rest up so you can get back to school and your activities you do. Stop by Quizno's in Sunset Corners and say hi. I know both the day crew and the night crew would love to see you.

Alex, Please keep your mind focused on healing. Stay in bed and rest so you can heal and come home. You need lots of rest and the more you do the faster you can start coming home. Quizno's om Sunset corners loves you both and wishes you well.

  6. I've been following this blog since day 1 and I'm SO happy to hear that things are going well all things considered. Although I don't know Dane, I do work with his twin sister and I only know Alex because I would sometimes give him and Jordan rides home from school, but it's amazing to see the support from the entire community. Despite differences everyone has come together to support these boys and their families.
