Boys Are Back In Town
Alex and Dane have been able to hang out a few times this week. They are so positive and funny. Instead of sitting around thinking "this sucks dude" they are joking about Dane getting a Head Shot and that they might have Wonder Twin Powers. They joke about the things they can do like Dane jabbing Alex that He can walk, Alex jabbed right back saying "ya well I can eat!". They are having fun. Oakley Sunglass's heard about the boys (via Alex's step dad) and sent the boys a pair of sunglass's to protect their fragile eyes. They were sporting them in the hospital. Looks like Alex's release date from the hospital is December 1st. (yep December)

You both look fantastic!
They also said five days instead of three to check the graft surgery, he never ceases to amaze! Go Alex!!!
ReplyDeleteWe were at the Sr. Games Track meet. Have been following your blog and are so glad that the boys are recovering so well. You have many people praying for you. It sounds like your town has really been behind you, how wonderful to have such dedication in family and school. Your story has touched many people and taught everyone how to pull together to make good things happen.

Hello, I'm a producer at KUTV2 and I'm wondering if I could share the Oakley story on our shows? You can email me at kvalentine@kutv2.com to let me know if that is ok. Thank you so much for keeping us all updated!
ReplyDeleteI think the story about them meeting God, and after hearing that "after being hit by lightning" one of you has to die! The boy's debated with him and it was decided that one of them would take the outside injury and one would take the inside injury. So they each took half of the fatal strike and returned triumphantly! Amazing Boys!
