Welcome friends and family of Alex and Dane!

This Blog has been created by friends and family of Alex and Dane as they make their way down the road to recovery, after being struck by lightning 10/5/2010. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as this road will likely be a long one. Feel free to check back often for status updates on both Alex and Dane, and be sure and leave your well-wishes when you visit. The boys will be shown this blog when they are awake.

We sincerely Thank You for your concern and friendship. Alex and Dane will always remember the support of friends and family like you.

Friday Evening- Alex

Today has been rough on Alex- Why? Because he wants nothing more than to get out of the hospital bed and get home! He has tried every which way to get out. He told his mom he needs to get to cross country to run the golf course- he wants Coach Bentley to wait for him. He has ask to go to his grandma's house. "Right now", he said. He simply is ready to go home. All of his vitals are good. He is breathing very well. He is in a lot of pain due to the external burns, but is so strong that regadless of pain, wants to go. Our request is that you pray for him to SLEEP. He is so restless, yet needs the sleep (as does mom) :) Thank you all again for this incredible support!

  8. I just wanted to let you know that I have been following the story of these boys very closely. I don't know you at all but the story has affected me nonetheless. I am an SCHS alumni and my little brother Carson Greenhalgh is friends with Alex. My heart and thoughts go out to your families as you pull through this, as it looks like you will! It is a touching story and I hope that the first responders are doing okay as well. All the best!
